Federico Salas-Isnardi is a linguist, adult educator, diversity trainer, writer, and storyteller. He has worked in adult education and English Language Acquisition for 30 years. Federico has presented or facilitated hundreds of professional development workshops and seminars helping thousands of teachers, educational leaders, volunteers, library employees, pastors, police officers, healthcare workers, and adult learners.
A dynamic and engaging speaker, Federico is a regular speaker at professional conferences and meetings and has given speeches on topics ranging from second language acquisition to anti-bullying education and from social justice to employability skills in the 21st century.
Federico’s passion is the role of diversity and social justice education in creating empowering communities. These days he spends much of his professional time working on issues affecting immigrants and refugees.
He served on the panel that wrote the United States Naturalization Test for the USCIS and served on professional boards for over 25 years in a number of organizations. Federico is coauthor of the multimedia ESL series Future – English for Work, Life, and Academic Success and the citizenship text Future US Citizens published by Pearson. He is President and National Consultant for FSI Diversity and Education and serves on the TexShare Advisory Board of the Texas State Libraries and Archives Commission.
